/EIN News/ Some of the Eastern Pennsylvania towns affected by radon are Norristown, Havertown, Bethlehem, Aston, Kunkletown, Collegeville, Phoenixville, Easton, Wayne, Media, Lansdale, Ambler, Breinigsville, North Wales, Philadelphia, Macungie, Royersford, Elkins Park, Eagleville, and Emmaus. When radon levels are found to be 4.0 or higher, a radon removal system can be installed to fix the problem. This is known as radon mitigation or remediation.

According to the Surgeon General of the United States, radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer next to smoking. Pennsylvania has radon levels that are much higher than the national average which is why testing for this dangerous gas is all the more important if you live in PA.
