Welcome to the Land of Enchantment. Interstate 10 Starts at the state line with a set of Always Open West bound DOT scales. So, Be sure to have your "NEW MEXICO FUEL TAX PERMIT" in Hand, At about mm 159 , 2 1/2 miles from The Texas State Line, So Rookies, Make sure your permit is up to date, New Mexico DOT are, Too serious and everywhere, And always looking hard. There are scales on the East bound side But, They Are Rarely Open. Then the only other scales on I 10 In New Mexico, Are at Lordsburg at mm 23 for East bound trucks, And at mm 24 for West bound trucks.

Interstate 10 in New Mexico, Follows the former path of U.S. Route 80 across the state. Only three cities of significant size are located on this interstate: Lordsburg, Deming, And Las Cruces. We do offer FREE! Advertising to Anyone and/or Anything having to do with the Trucking Industry,Throughout the whole state of The Land of Enchantment.

Lordsburg is the Western junction of U.S. Route 70, And the two highways are joined all the way to Las Cruces. Several exits between Lordsburg and Deming, Are either for former towns that now longer exist, Or no town at all. There is a Border Patrol Check Station between Las Cruces & Deming.

Deming is the Western junction of U.S. Route 180, which also forms a Concurrency with I 10 all the way to El Paso. One mile north of Deming, On US 180 is New Mexico Route 26, Which serves as a short cut to North I 25 and Albuquerque.

I 10, US 70, & US 180, Continue East to Las Cruces which is the South end of Interstate 25. US 70 leaves I 10, heading Northeast to Alamogordo. If you're heading North from Alamogordo, Beware of the DOT Truck Scales! They are Open a lot, And they don't play around. Interstate 10 then turns South to the Texas state line. Drive Carefully, And Cautiously While in the Land of Enchantment Ya'll!!
